THE ONTARIO LIBRARY ASSOCIATION'S FOREST OF READING @ FLORENCE MEARES
We are very excited to be running our Forest of Reading Club for students in Grades 4 to 8. During the months of January, February, March and April we get together during Nutrition Breaks to share and discuss current year selection from the Ontario Library Association. For more information on this province wide program, check out the Ontario Library Association Website. Our Grade 1 to 3 students will be enjoying the Blue Spruce nominated titles during their weekly Library visits and will vote for their favourite title at the end of April.
The Forest of Reading Club gives our students a chance to talk about the nominated titles with peers and teachers both face to face and through online conferences. Students are asked to return their books on a weekly basis to maximize the circulation of materials.
The Forest of Reading Club will run during Nutrition Breaks, so be sure to listen for announcements and follow our Library Twitter feed for meeting dates and times. If you are interested in participating, please fill in the Forest of Reading Club Permission Form and come on out to our next meeting.
We look forward to a great time of reading and learning.
If you have any questions please email Mr. Cann.
