BEVERLY HILLS MAASAI

Beverly Hills Maasai is the sequel to Alexandria of Africa, where Alexandria Hyatt was shipped to Kenya for a shoplifting crime & learned life lessons about not taking anything for granted. Since Alexandria returned from her trip & is residing in her Beverly Hills mansion, she recieves a call from Nebala, a man who Alexandria befriended in Kenya. Alexandria was expecting a greeting call from Kenya, but it looks like...Nebala and his 2 friends are at LAX themselves for the Beverly Hills Marathon! Looks like Alexandria is in for a bumpy ride once again! Beverly Hills Maasai is an enjoyable book about reaching out of your comfort zone & giving back to the friends who helped you when you were in need. It is fulled with happy, laughable moments & pulse pumping serious times that you have to read! I completely recommend this book to the people who read Alexandria of Africa, and if you haven't read that one yet, I reccommend reading it and this wonderful sequel!

Together Forever

Our Grade 2 friends had a chance to hear "Together Forever" by Per-Henrik Gurth. This wonderfully illustrated story is both touching and informative at the same time. We learned terms like "constellation" and "northern lights" as we travelled to the Arctic where the Polar Bears live. The author's true skill is in his telling of a story of a lost Polar Bear while instructing the reader on the wonders of the stars. What a fantastic book!

The Cat's Pajamas

"The Cat's Pajamas" by Wallace Edwards is the cat's meow. Idioms are expressions that can't be translated literally. Our Grade 4 students throughly enjoyed the amazing illustrations and creative application of idioms by Wallace Edwards. I thought I had seen it all until I saw the frog in the submarine that was getting his "feet wet". This book is not to be missed.

Little Owl Lost

Have you every been lost? Some of our Kindergarten friends know the feeling and they enjoyed "Little Owl Lost" by Chris Haughton this week. With some help from squirrel and frog Little Owl eventually makes his way home. Now, if he could just stay in his nest!

Dear George Clooney, Please Marry My Mom

Dear George Clooney, Please Marry My Mom is a very good book. It's about these two girls named Violet, Rose, and their mother. Her mom has been recently divorced from her husband, who is a huge movie producer. He has gone away to LA, with a new girlfriend. They had twins together. Now her Mother has been dating men off of a online dating service. None of the men, so far, are very nice, until she meets a guy named "Dudley Weiner". Violet hates him. She tries to break them up. This book is full of practical jokes, underwear flushing and George Clooney.

I majorly recommend this book to anyone!
